As many of you know, recent events have required us to be flexible in our learning and teaching habits. This website represents uncharted territory for all of us. My students, you have not generally participated in long-distance learning or web-based school before. As for myself, I haven't really taught an online class before. However, we will both learn together. Let us be patient with each other as we seek to improve ourselves.
As I have said before, and I firmly believe now; our current situation is not one of hopelessness or fear, but of opportunity! For those of use who study history, we can tap into the long memory of our people to find inspiration and courage. To that end, let us again draw inspiration from the wise words of FDR:
